Jasper - 3 months
Our little precious puppy is growing by leaps and bounds! He's already doubled in size, to our delight and dismay. We finally found a name: Jasper. The meaning? Well, it just sort of suited him. AND, Jasper is the first of twelve precious stones used to build the foundation of the New Jerusalem in the book of Revelation. He's no pure breed, but we think he's quite a treasure. Take a look at these recent pics. As you'll note, he loves to chew. And he has an old man beard. They told us he was a "half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and half wire-haired Dachshund." What do you think?

The Hinson Puppy
Tommy and I are the proud parents of a new puppy! We’ve been dying for one for a long time, but with all the traveling we were doing it didn’t seem like the right time. With our big Rwanda trips behind us, we decided now was the moment!
The puppy is a “hybrid”: half long/wire hair Dachshund and half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We picked him up last night and have yet to name him! Hopefully something brilliant will strike us soon. I mean, have you ever seen a more precious animal??

Hinson's New House
Our offer on an amazing foreclosure was just accepted by the bank, so we are moving forward with the process of buying our very first home!!! This home is much more than we ever imagined we could find, with a huge amount of space and the potential for a rentable basement, as well as office space on the main level. It's everything we hoped for and more. It's not completely a done deal, as we still have the inspection next week and a 10-day walkaway period, etc, but we are hoping it all works out!!
One note: I used a wide angle lens on these photos so the house appears a bit bigger than it actually is. In fact, it is over 3,000 square feet, which is a minor miracle here in DC, but it's not quite as cavernous as the photos look!

Becca and Brent: Austin Perfection
Becca and Brent got married on, quite literally, the most beautiful weekend ever. The skies were cloudless, the temperature 70 degrees, and the wedding party was GORGEOUS. I mean seriously, have you ever seen a more beautiful bride? I told Becca I was excited to exploit her portrait on my website:) I had such a blast in Austin with everyone in the wedding! Thank you for such a great weekend!
